Declaration of Faith
What we believe as a church
The verbal inspiration of the Bible.
In one God eternally existing in three persons: namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.
That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.
That justification regeneration and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.
Holiness to be God's standard of living for His people.
In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.
In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Ghost.
In water baptism by immersion. and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.
In the Lord's Supper and washing of the saints' feet.
In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.
In the bodily resurrection - eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.

Our Story
Mill Cove Church of God began in tent meetings in the summer of 1938 in Cambridge, New Brunswick. With winter approaching and dozens being saved and baptized, there was a need for a more suitable structure. A log church was built on the same property as where we are today.
Through many renovations and building programs, and 80+ years of ministry, we still want to see God build His Church in our beautiful countryside between Grand Lake, Washademoak Lake, and along the St. John River.
In 2003, after 65 years of being an independent pentecostal church, we were blessed to join the Church of God movement (headquatered in Cleveland, Tennessee). The Church of God is a global pentecostal church with over 35,000 churches in over 180 countries.
Our Staff
Rev. Steve Ferris
Lead Pastor
Pastor Steven and his wife, Melody, have been in leadership at Mill Cove Church of God since 2007. They have one son. Previously, they were involved with the church's Sunday school, youth group, the former Christian school, and wherever else they could.
They both came to the Lord at this church; Melody in 1988, and Steven in 1995. They have a real heart for kids and people that feel they don't belong anywhere else.
Pastor Steve also serves as the overseer for the Church of God Maritimes District.
Robin Adamson Humphrey
Children's Ministry Director
Robin has been a part of Mill Cove Church of God since before she was two years old. She has a tremendous heart for children, and has a diploma in Early Childhood Development. She operates her own childcare business, "The Learning Tree Daycare."
Creative and resourceful, she gives leadership to our kids ministry weekly, as well as directing Vacation Bible School throughout the summer.
She is a mom to four busy and growing children. She and her husband, Sam (who is also active in the church), live in Mill Cove.
